Ditto's Pedigree |
Ditto works with style in the field and in obedience. Ditto earned his *** at 28 months by winning two Qualifying stakes. He has earned 5 all age points in Open Stakes and achieved the Master Hunter title. At seven years old he took a break from field work for 15 months. We trained him in obedience and he earned his CD, CDX and UD. All legs were with placements and in his first AKC obedience trial he went High In Trial. Ditto is now competing in the Open Field Trial Stakes and needs only a first place to complete his Field Championship.
Ditto is a spectacular retriever. Watching him work is a joy. Out of the holding blind he comes, full of passion and desire to retrieve birds. He approaches the line with grace next to his handler. The first shot rings out, his heart quickens. The second shot goes off, his breathing deepens. The third shot goes off downing a flyer. He awaits the command. His handler calls his name and he surges forward. He retrieves each bird that he is sent for, readying himself for the next bird. Only when he has retrieved the last bird can he relax, knowing that he has done his job. This is the passion that Ditto brings to retrieving birds.
This same spectacular field dog is comfortable and quiet at home. He lies at our feet content to enjoy the company of his family. He knows when there is work to do and he also knows when to relax at home with his family.
Ditto's lineage is long lived with his parents and grandparents living well into their teens. At nine years old he continues to compete in field trials, running long marks and blinds. We expect him to enjoy a long life and produce healthy long lived pups.
