History was made June 9, 2006. "Push" became the first Canadian Dual Champion since 1981. This incredible accomplishment speaks volumes about his talent, quality and temperament. Kudos to his owners/handlers, Mike and Val Ducross...amateurs.
Push is that rare kind of dog of any breed that simply takes your breath away when you look at him. Not only is he a stunning physical package, but he has a presence that makes you straighten up and take notice of him, whether he's at home relaxing or performing at a field trial. His handsome good looks, combined with his intelligent expression and the confident way he carries himself are not to be forgotten. He has made a tremendously strong mark in the Golden world on both sides of the border and is well on his way to becoming one of the most note-worthy Goldens of the decade.

Our first Push-sired litter with our own Adirondac My-Tee Marcy CDX,MH,WCX,TDI, Can WCI produced such well-temperamented and excellent quality puppies that we can't wait to use him again!

His owners Val and Mike Ducross say of him: Push has a great training attitude. At trials he is exciting to watch, both on land and in the water. He is a hard driving dog who constantly gives 100% effort, whether he is doing blinds or marks. Push has it all: Talent, correct structure, style, courage and most importantly the temperament for which the Golden Retriever is famous. He is easy to live with, good with other dogs, and simply loves everyone.
Push's accomplishments of this 2005 year alone are too numerous to count here, but in summary he has become one of the small handful of Golden Field Champions, topped off with a huge win in the 89 dog Amateur Stake of the 2005 Golden Retriever Club of America National Specialty in Gettysburg PA in late September. Shortly afterwards, he accomplished the near impossible and earned Breed Championship points in the ring against conformation-bred Goldens, the first field-bred golden to do so in many years. |
