"BART" .... Endless amounts of affection, focused and powered by 48 pounds of explosive energy ...... Bart is a total package of hard working GOLDEN. Bart started his retrieving career at 9 weeks and at 14 weeks Bart retrieved his first mallard. With his eagerness to learn Bart flew through his Junior Hunt Test with ease before his first birthday. Shortly after passed his Working Certificate Test (WC). Bart's first fall was full of endless hunts with many picturesque moments. No goose is to big for Bart. Bart achieved his Senior Hunter title before two and is presently preparing for Master Level test. Bart has taken on this task with such enthusiasm it's hard to NOT set up and train on any given day, what a joy. Bart loves blind work, absolutely loves it. Bart will push out across alfalfa fields to 300 yards, and fast..... the grass won't dry under his feet... At the end of any given day I'll find him curled up adjacent to me, happy and content.

Bart is currently in the hunting mode for the fall/winter of 2012. Bart's menu will consist of geese, ducks, pheasant, partridge and maybe a few woodcock.

Bart is from the Misty X Pete litter and went home with Kevin Crinklaw who trained Adirondac Reddog Rigby to the level of Senior Hunter. Kevin and Rigby have terrorized the marshes, woods and fields of the Adirondacks for several years. Kevin needs to write a new textbook on how to start a golden puppy in field work. Come along with us as Bart develops into a real hunter's champion. |

Bart's is a true Cinderella story. His owner, Kevin Crinklaw rescued Adirondac Rigby who needed a new home when he was 5 years old. Kevin showed Rigby the better side of life...hunting and hunt testing, and the two of them taught each other. When Kevin bought Bart, he already knew the plan was to go to Master Hunter, as quickly as possible. Bart completed his Senior title in July 2012, just prior to his second birthday....a remarkable accomplishment for such a young dog, AND a relatively inexperienced trainer/handler. Bart has had probably more actual hunting experiences than most dogs get in their entire lifetime. Kevin is a crack shot, and both Bart and Rigby have hours of on-the-job training in the duck blind, grouse woods and pheasant fields.
Bart is a Misty X Pete pup....one of many that have been the choice for hunting/hunt tests, upper level obedience, police explosive detection, as well as golden companionship. We're proud to put him up as a potential stud. |
