Tux

On 4/6/2011 10:42 AM,
Hi Carol

I am just checking in to let you know that Tux is turning out to be a fantastic puppy.

We are loving him so much that my husband Paul has asked me to check with you if you would be willing to sell to us another puppy from your next litter. It would be great if we would be able to have a male from your Laker X Push litter. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,

Denise

Hi Carol!

Happy .. Spring :-)? How are you? And your gorgeous dogs? Just figured I'd drop a quick line... Enzo is growing like a bean sprout! I'd bought him one of those toys that dispenses treats, and he finally decided to figure it out :-) haha, Dad and I cheered and whooped when he got it, and I think we were happier and prouder than the poor puppy himself, lol. I took a quick video and uploaded it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hIQDV4Dyi0   He's growing up nicely, and started training last week finally, but I may switch him, as I think that clicker training isn't for us. ... apart from that, we're a little ahead now, and he can do the sit, down, and rollover fairly consistently, and lol, also run like a bullet! We *may* have a champion runner here ;-))

Norman

Hi Carol,

I hope that you've had a good winter and are enjoying Spring in upstate NY. We're still waiting for Spring in MA!

Since it's Norman's first birthday, I wanted to give you a quick update. He's a great dog. He's sweet, personable and FULL of energy. HE is curled up on the rug next to me as a I write this e mail. He is currently in the Yankee Golden Retriever Fundamental Class for field, taught by Sally Bridges, a wonderful instructor. Norm has alot of drive and lives to retrieve. We're working on steadiness in the blind and at line.

We're also practicing his return. He comes barreling back with the bumper like a freight train. Jerry will begin the force fetch and ultimately collar conditioning. He also has not met a body of water that he doesn't adore. Last Saturday was a cold and damp class day. Several of the dogs were reluctant to enter the stream. Not Norm. I was only concerned that he would pull me in with him. I'm in a training group that meets twice a week.   We're also in a beginner combined agility/obediance class. I figure it can only help with his line manners and be another type of learning for him.   He is a very BIG boy. He probably weighs over 82 lbs and is quite tall.   I'd love to hear how his sister is doing.

All our best,

Susan , Jerry and "The Norm"
