"Red" Woodland's Rugged Red MH** |
A medium-sized , solid boy, Red stole my heart the first time he came here to breed. He's calm, affectionate and very well behaved on the home front, but that big Master Hunter and the 2-star field trial status speak volumes about what else is inside. He was 5 when he finished his MH but has always been primarily a hunting dog. Red was trained by his owner, Paul Means with some assistance by pro Bob Reckart. Paul is another champion of the "good old stuff". At 88 years young he has trained hunting goldens since 1967 including 3 Tigathoes from Torch Flinn's breedings. Paul and I appreciate the same traits. Red should produce pups that work AND play hard - ideal family companions and field dogs all rolled into one. He has the old-fashioned head of a grizzly, but the personality of a teddy bear. |
