In 2004, Skye made breed history by becoming the first Champion pointed OTCH/MH. What makes this really special is the fact that Skye has been completely owner trained and handled in all performance events. He is my first SH/MH and first OTCH/UDX dog. Previously, I had trained one dog to a UD/JH. This speaks volumes to his trainability, biddabilty and willingness and great style. He loves to work, he loves to please and most of all he loves to be with me-a true winning combination. Add to this a lovely temperament which is proven every time he comes to spend the day in my second grade classroom. He takes the constant attention from the young students and staff in stride and never tires of being petted. Skye's proper structure has been acknowledged by being AKC CH pointed, winning the Novice Dog class at the 2003 GRCA National Specialty and making the cut in the AM Bred Class at the 2005 GRCA National Specialty. Skye is passing his wonderful traits and working ability onto his puppies who are currently competing in obedience, agility, hunt test, and tracking and conformation.
